This article refers to customers impacted by the Reserve Bank of India’s 2021 regulations regarding automatic payments.
Some Foreign Policy customers in India have been impacted by RBI regulations preventing automatic payments. These regulations have caused payment failures relating to subscription renewals. Foreign Policy is working to address these regulations, but payment failures are still possible for our subscribers in India. Subscribers in India impacted by these regulations can attempt to manually renew their subscription by following the below steps:
- First, go to your Account Settings and sign in to your Foreign Policy subscription, if not already signed in.
- Click Subscription Settings on the left panel and then, under the Subscription tab, click the Manage dropdown. If your subscription renewal payment has failed, you will see an option to Renew now which will attempt to reprocess your subscription renewal.
Note: The renewal charge will process immediately upon pressing Renew now. You may need to update your payment information in order for the manual renewal to process successfully. Please see How to Update Your Payment Information for instructions on how to update or add a new payment method.
